Installation Guide

The install flow for the Simple Review Management app consists of three easy steps.

The goal of the install flow is to connect Simple RM to your QuickBooks Online account and then to your Google My Business location.

The app will guide you through each step one after another. The whole flow takes less than 5 minutes to complete.

Step One

The install flow starts on the install page. If you are not already on that page, go there now.

On the install page click the blue button that says "Sign in with Intuit" on the right side of the page. Clicking that button will take you to the QuickBooks Online login page (this should look familiar).

On the QuickBooks Online login page log in to your QuickBooks Online account.

When you are done logging in you will be returned to the install flow.

Q: What is Intuit?
A: Intuit is the company that owns QuickBooks.

Q: Why do I have to log in to QuickBooks Online?
A: You need to be logged into your Intuit / QuickBooks Online account to be able to connect QuickBooks Online to Simple RM.

Step Two

Now it is time to connect QuickBooks Online to Simple RM.

You should be on a page that shows you are on step two of three, titled "Connect QuickBooks".

This time you will want to click the green "Connect to QuickBooks" button on right side of the page. When you do you will be taken to a new page.

You should now be on a QuickBooks Online page that gives you the option to Connect QuickBooks Online to Simple RM. Click the "Connect" button. When you do you will be taken back to the install flow.

Q: Why does the app need access to my QuickBooks Online Data?
A: The app only accesses data in your QuickBooks Online account for the sole purpose of sending customers review request follow up emails.

Step Three

Now it is time to connect Simple RM to your Google My Business listing.

The top of the page should show that you are on step three of three, titled "Connect Google".

This time you want to click the blue button on the right side of the page that says "Connect Google Account". When you do this you will be taken to a new page.

You should now be on a Google page that asks you to grant simplereviewmanagement.com permissions. Click "Allow". When you click "Allow" you will be taken to a new page.

The new page will ask you to confirm your choice from the previous page. Click "Allow" again. Once you do, the install is complete and you will be brought back to the Simple Review Management app.

Q: Why do I have to give the app permission to delete Google business listings?
A: The app requires the ability to see and create Google business listings. However, Google does not allow apps to request only two permissions. Instead, it must request extras it will never use, that includes the delete permission.

You are done

Once the install flow is complete you will see a loading screen that is displayed while your Simple RM account initializes with your QuickBooks Online account and Google My Business listing.
