Direct Reviews

A direct review is a review that the customer submits directly through Simple Review Management.

SRM will present the option of posting a direct review when a customer is not willing or able post a Google review.

When a customer submits a direct review you will get an email notification from SRM.

The notification will include a link to the sharable content generated for the review so you can share the review if you wish.

Google Reviews First

SRM always prioritizes collecting Google reviews over direct reviews.

Some example of situations where SRM will present the option to post a direct review are:

  • The customer does not have a Google account
  • The customer is trying to post a review, but Google is filtering it
  • The Google reviews site is broken

Disabling Direct Reviews

It is not possible to disable the direct review collection feature.

The feature is not optional because it improves the experience for the recipient of the review request.

Without the direct review option customers that want to provide feedback, but do not have a Google account, hit a dead end.

The direct review option give them a way to complete the flow.

Pricing

Direct reviews use the same results based pricing as Google reviews.

The price of a direct review is also the same a Google review ($7.25 per review).

More pricing information is available on the pricing page.
